Headlines- May 12th

Here's some of the big stories making headlines in Nashville:

  • Tanya Tucker is selling her home and property outside of Nashville to a group who plans on turning the estate into a golf course and country club. No word yet on where Tucker plans to move. The estate served as the setting for Tucker's TLC show "Tuckerville." Just last week Tucker was sued by a woman who claims Tucker's dog bit her when she arrived at Tucker's house.
  • Martina McBride has placed an order of protection against a man she claims came to her Nashville home on two separate night occasions and the first time asked if the star was at home and the second time asked who lived at the home. Martina's husband, John, advised the man to not return there before turning the matter over to police.
  • The CMA announced that Montgomery Gentry has been added to the roster for June's CMA Music Festival in Nashville. The duo will perform at the four day event on Friday evening, along with many others. Also announced were the artists appearing at the CMA Celebrity Close Up, hosted by Lorrianne Crook. Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, and Terri Clark will answer questions from fans during the event, held on Thursday, June 7th at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Artists appearing during the second round of interviews, also on the 7th of June, will be announced soon. Terri Clark is set to open the CMA Music Festival on the Riverfront Park Stages at 10 AM CST on June 7th.
  • TUBE ALERT: The CMA Music Festival will air on ABC on July 23rd this year, highlighting the many performances, parties, and all the other excitement of this year's CMA Music Festival.

That's all for now!

Keepin' it Country,

Zach
